Media Projects

Is $2.00 popcorn
really out of the question?

proHi!  I’m looking for people who might share my vision of bringing back family entertainment that does not “pee in the water” with those extra opportunistic scenes in which producers and directors get attractive actors to take their clothes off for fake reasons.  And no more sexual favors as a price for participation.

It’s really not complicated how we can bring people back to theatres and enjoy things more as a community.  Let’s make individualistic entertainment a mere filler and bring back community.

Too many downtowns have been gutted since COVID but we don’t want them to be.  Most of us love European plazas, marked by a house of God, cafes, artists, and why not theaters — if they can amuse us and promote discussion, without guilt or reproach afterwards?

NOW AUDITIONING!* We cannot each do this alone.  I personally cannot write every book and film that comes to mind.  Yet so much seems like low-hanging fruit to me.  I seek artists to help, and financers to gamble on what I believe will find and build a huge enthusiastic audience.   See my list below of projects I need help with.

Projects in Development

– 0070: Not Dead Yet (Coming Soonest!  He’s in his 70s but can’t quite accept forced retirement from the secret agent life. Join the fun as Herbert Bigglesby dodges killers and hunts scammers of the elderly!)

– The Abolitionist (aka  On With the Wind!  Who and what did it take to convert the American North in the 1830s to welcoming and defending human beings regarded as property?)

– SuperPerson (A sensitive unstable superhero is torn between a duty to save lives and yearning for a home life of his own.)

– Cinderfella (Just one more relationship under construction.)

– The Lobotomist (Meaning well doesn’t always mean good things were done to help people with schizophrenia.)

– Charlie, Chaplain (A bumbling prison therapist might just be doing more good with spiritual talk than his psychology toolset.)

– Fruit of the Loomis (comedic bank heist)

– Jesus of Nashville (Not yet on tour, a conflicted character navigates musical talent, good intentions, and common weaknesses.)

– It’s a Glad, Glad, Glad, Glad World (stop the fake positivity, people)

– Joan & LaHire (the friendship of Joan of Arc and her course-mannered general)

– Pope Bob (a pragmatic, faithless, crooked bureacrat with good intentions becomes pope)

– Luci in Therapy (bringing eternal daddy issues to light)

– Sperm the Musical (the odds are against you… so what?)

– Life of Dummies (a crash dummy with PTSD teams up with a discarded fashion mannequin to flee the Dumpster Cartel and have a family.)

– Princess Bittercup (Because men are still the problem.)

– Her Name was Rita Rizzo (how an unusual Catholic nun twisted God’s arm into founding a huge broadcasting network)

– Our Lady of Good Cheer (Go Jesus! Go Jesus!  Time travel movie in which a 5th grade cheerleader and her drummer friend strive to bring their peers to perform at the greatest triumph in the history of their planet.)

– Scout Leader (the ab/use of boys and science by the father of the sexual revolution, Alfred Kinsey)

I researched and wrote the above screenplay from around 1994-2008. It has yet to be made into a film, but I am converting it into a book. I made the trailer in 2006.

A long-term goal I have for inCAPABLES or Pious Clown Productions is to be a studio that produces books, films, and other media. This will require much deeper resources and talent than I currently have. The tone of these works will not necessarily please the "choir" but they will always be about exposing, promoting, or involving Truth.

Opinions will vary about rules of human etiquette, manners, and courseness. Yet even if some of our characters use course language, our material will strive to avoid enticing people sexually or toward behaviors that bully, poison, injure, addict, or otherwise hurt self or others. Course language may inconvenience you but we do not believe that it necessarily causes harm or damage. We ask you to tolerate it the same way you tolerate other drivers on the road. I base this on my work with Veterans and others who seemed to feel more understood and less judged or alienated when we spoke a common language about the horrific things they had been through.

Genres will be comedies, dramas, musicals... we have no anticipated limitation at this time. I would love to be producing high school plays too. And perhaps new compositions for things like Catholic Mass. It is a shame that a modern American football game or rock concert achieves more engagement; what is occurring does not need to be as understated as it often is. We will definitely be challenging people to recognize distinctions between taste and essentials. Truth allows variability in taste.

*When I worked in Hollywood, too many projects became stillborn due to impossible contracts and deadweight. Our projects will require investment of time and talent, and compensation will be determined way later, by mediators, who determine percentages of contributions. Your involvement needs to be voluntary, and you need to agree to bow out gracefully if your contributions are not quite fitting the project or taking it in the best direction, as determined by our leadership.

If you would like to be involved or support this effort please contact me incapazman at gmail or by phone or text to 646-481-5115.
